On May 5th, Prof. Julius Rebek at the scripps research institute, the director of the skaggs institute for chemical biology, visited Engineering Research Center for Nanomaterials. Prof. Rebek visited the exhibition hall of the Nanomaterials Engineering Research Center accompanied by Prof. Pingyu Zhang and Prof. Hua Wang.

At the meeting room, Prof. Rebek gave an academic report "Molecular Behavior in Small Spaces". Prof. Rebek’s lecture vividly described how to form capsule structures by self-assembly from host and guest molecules. The fascinating and interesting lecture presented the combination and release of a variety of host molecules and various guest molecules, making esoteric scientific issues easy to understand.

After the lecture, Prof. Rebek visited the Research Group of Organic Functional Materials, and communicated with teachers and students.
