On May 12, 2018, Prof. Wei Feng at Tianjin University and Prof. Tianxi Liu at Donghua University were invited to visit Engineering Research Center for Nanomaterials. They gave two lectures entitled “Design, preparation of functional organic/carbon composites and their excellent performance” and " Construction of Polyaniline/carbon composites as electrode materials for supercapacitors ", respectively. Prof. Wei Feng’s lecture focused on the design, performance and application of functional organic/carbon nanocomposites and their optical, electrical and thermal performances. Professor Tianxi Liu introduced the latest research progress of his research team about carbon nanotube/graphene nanocomposites.
P.S.:
Wei Feng received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Xi'an Jiaotong University, China in 1992 and 2000, respectively. Since 2004, Prof. Feng as a distinguished professor has moved to Department of Materials, Tianjin University. His researches are mainly focused on functional nanocomposites and their applications. He has more than 140 peer-reviewed papers, and over 40 patents of invention of China.
Tianxi Liu received his B.S. degree from the college of chemistry and chemical engineering, Henan University in 1992, and Ph.D degree from Changchun Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 1998, respectively. Currently, he works as a professor at the college of materials science and engineering, Donghua University, and a deputy director of the state key laboratory for modification of chemical fibers and polymer materials. His current research interests include polymer nanocomposites, organic-inorganic hybrid materials, nanofiber-based composites, energy-related nanomaterials. By now, he has published more than 260 research papers such as Adv. Mater., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.
