On the morning of Nov. 10, 2018, the Second Academic Salon of High Polymer Nanocomposites organized by Engineering Research Center for Nanomaterials was successfully held in henan university in Zhongzhou Hotel. Prof. Yaorong Mi as Foreign Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Member of the Royal Society, the Royal Academy of Engineering, Member of the European Academy of Sciences, Member of the Australian Academy of Sciences, from the University of Sydney in Australia, Prof. Xiaolin Xie from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Prof. Yan Li from Tongji University, and Prof. Tianxi Liu from Donghua University are invited to attend the academic salon. Xiansheng Liu, the member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice President of the Henan university, delivered the opening speech and then the report was presided by Professor Hua Wang.

These experts at the academic salon shared their latest research progress based on "functionalization of polymer composites, natural plant fiber reinforced composites, and application of polymer composites", and fully discussed the fields for cooperation. Professors from engineering research center for nanomaterials also reported their research achievements in "nano-silicon industrialization and its application, high-efficiency polymer solar cells, functional lubricating materials". These experts fully affirmed the research work of the center and proposed on specific measures and ways for future development.

During the meeting, the participating experts also visited the industrial pilot base in Jiyuan. They had a commutation with prof. Zhijun zhang about talent cultivation, project cooperation and product development, and reached the cooperation intention.
