The Workshop on “Electrochemistry and Biology” was successfully held by Engineering Research Center for Nanomaterials on the morning of April 18th in 226 conference room. Prof. Mathieu Etienne and Prof. Liang Liu, from The French National Center for Scientific Research were invited to join this worshop. Prof. Meng Zheng, Prof. Xiaoqiang Liu, Prof. Lin Zhang, and Prof. Qiuye Li of Henan University are also invited. All of the teachers and students or ERCN attended this workshop. Prof. Hua Wang, the deputy director of the Center, delivered the opening speech and then the report was chaired by Prof. Qiuye Li and Prof. Lin Zhang.
Firstly, Prof. Hua Wang expressed his warm welcome to the French experts and briefly introduced the development process, scientific research, talent training and platform of the center. Then, the six speakers introduced their research respectively on the topics of the advanced drug delivery systems for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and brain diseases, synthesis and application of functional electrode and biofilm, application of eletroenzymatic systems in electroanalysis through conventional and bipolar electrochemistry, electrodeposition from nano to nano, the application of TiO2 nanocomposites in biosensors, and the synthesis and photocatalytic application of defective TiO2.
In the afternoon, Prof. Mathieu Etienne and Prof. Liang Liu had academic discussions with teachers and students of the our center. Prof. Xia Zhang, Professor Jianwu Shi and Dr. Zhongjie Guan had in-depth discussions with the two experts on the superhydrophobic nanofilm, organic functional material and sulfur photofunctional material.
After the meeting, Prof. Pingyu Zhang, director of the center, signed a contract for appointment as chair professor of henan university with two experts, and they reached a preliminary cooperation intention on the high-level talent training, high-level scientific research and international cooperation projects.
