On Jan 9, 2020, Chuanxiang Zhang at Henan Polytechnic University was invited to visit ERCN, giving the lecture entitled “Preparation and Application of Coal Derived Carbon Based Materials”. Professor Zhang introduced the recent progress of coal- derived polyporous carbon, functional reinforcing agent, organic carbon fertilizer and soil improver. He also showed some successful examples for the practical application for these coal derived carbon based materials.

Zhang Chuanxiang, a professor, worked at Henan Polytechnic University. His current research interests include mineral processing, cleaning utilization technology of coal, synthesis and electrochemical performances of coal-derived carbon. Up to now, he has published more than 100 academic papers, included more than 50 papers recorded in SCI.
